Reflections, of sorts, in verse, of sorts.

Month: October, 2012

Inside a temple
walled with gods and prophetic words
where smoke and prayers
carry lovers onto painted clouds
I think of kneeling before you
offering my tongue
in an unholy
faithful kiss

Hold on to me
even when there is
no chance; even when
the earth betrays us both
perhaps the sky
will take pity if
she sees us
holding on

I Confess To Loving

I confess to loving
watching from above
you jump stretch reach toward me

So lovely graceful and becoming
even when you fall

These Words

I would write you poems
but what good are these words?
You cannot eat or sell them
I know for
I have tried

You cannot burn them and be warm
they are already torched to coals
by my want of you

Dear lady
you cannot leave them either
for if they are only half as beautiful
as young thighs they will linger

These words
you may only pass them on
but it would end me
if you shared them with another

Let them
stay here then
go nowhere so
you may never know
